A walk along the Thames, a table by the river and something indulgent to finish – Wahaca’s chocolate takeover gives you the perfect excuse to linger a little longer this spring.

A chocolate moment worth pausing for
There’s a certain rhythm to time spent by the Thames. You walk a little further than planned. You stop for a drink. You sit down ‘just for a moment’ – and before you know it, you’re ordering something you probably didn’t need… but absolutely wanted. This spring, Wahaca has quietly given us all the excuse we need.

A playful twist at the end of the meal
For a limited time, Wahaca has teamed up with Tony’s Chocolonely to create a dessert menu that feels less like an add-on and more like the main event. Tony’s, the chocolate company that exists to end exploitation in cocoa, to create four playful new desserts, plus a cocktail designed to dial up the decadence and bring a little extra joy to the end of every meal. The special menu runs from 25th March to 28th April with the collaboration reflecting the values shared by both brands around ethical sourcing and sustainability

The dessert tacos are the ones that turn heads when they arrive at the table – crisp, cinnamon-sugar tortillas filled with ice cream, chocolate and crunch.

The sort of indulgence you don’t rush
Then come the churros – golden, warm and made for dipping. You could keep it simple with rich chocolate sauce or lean into it with pecans and honeycomb.

And yes… there’s a cocktail
The chocolate cocktail blends Kahlúa, vodka and chocolate cream – smooth, indulgent and very easy to sip while watching the river drift by.

A riverside excuse to indulge
What makes this especially appealing is how naturally it fits into a day by the river. Whether you’re wandering along the South Bank, heading through Covent Garden or exploring Canary Wharf, there’s usually a point where stopping feels like the right idea.
