This April, Rosa’s Thai is bringing the vibrant spirit of Thai New Year to London, with limited-edition dishes, celebratory giveaways and the chance to win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Bangkok.

For Thames-side diners, the Rosa’s Thai Chelsea provides the perfect setting to experience the flavours and traditions of Songkran without leaving the capital.

A celebration of renewal and flavour
Taking place each year from 13th to 15th April, Songkran is one of Thailand’s most joyful festivals. Known for its famous water celebrations, it marks a time of renewal – washing away the past year and welcoming good fortune for the year ahead.

But beyond the water fights, Songkran is deeply rooted in family, food and tradition. It’s a time when loved ones gather, meals are shared and respect is paid to elders – a spirit that Rosa’s Thai captures beautifully through its seasonal menu.

Limited-edition dishes inspired by tradition
From 1st to 30th April 2026, Rosa’s Thai is marking the occasion with two special dishes inspired by classic Thai flavours and symbolism.

Larb Gai, a vibrant minced chicken salad with chilli, lime, fresh herbs and toasted rice, finished with crispy shallots, is long associated with good luck and celebration.

Alongside it, Pineapple Fried Rice combines stir-fried jasmine rice with vegetables and sweet pineapple, delicately spiced with turmeric to create a golden dish symbolising prosperity and wellbeing.

Together, they offer a bright, balanced and deeply authentic taste of Thailand.

Win a trip to Bangkok
Adding to the excitement, Rosa’s Thai has partnered with Singha Beer to offer diners the chance to experience Songkran at its source.

Guests who book and dine at any Rosa’s Thai restaurant between 1st and 30th April will be automatically entered into a prize draw to win return flights to Thailand, a five-night stay in Bangkok and an insider guide to the city.

And with each visit counting as a new entry, there’s every reason to return.

Free Pad Thai giveaways
During the core Songkran dates (13th to 15th April), Rosa’s Thai will also be giving away 100 free Pad Thai dishes each day at selected locations in London and Bristol – adding an extra layer of celebration to an already generous offering.

While availability is limited to specific sites, the wider campaign ensures every restaurant shares in the festive atmosphere.

From Brick Lane beginnings to nationwide favourite
Rosa’s Thai began life as a humble street stall on Brick Lane, quickly building a loyal following for Saiphin Moore’s fresh summer rolls and fragrant curries.

In 2008, Saiphin and Alex Moore opened their first permanent site, retaining the name ‘Rosa’s Café’ – and with it, a sense of simplicity and authenticity that remains at the heart of the brand today.

Now, nearly two decades on, Rosa’s Thai continues to serve dishes rooted in family recipes, using carefully sourced ingredients from Thailand – from sweet tamarind to rich coconut milk and fragrant jasmine rice.

Every recipe is still developed and approved by Saiphin herself, ensuring consistency, quality and genuine Thai flavour.

A taste of Thailand by the Thames
For London diners, particularly those near the Thames, Rosa’s Thai Chelsea offers a relaxed and welcoming place to experience the spirit of Songkran.

Whether you’re drawn by the seasonal dishes, the chance to win a trip to Thailand, or simply a well-executed Pad Thai, this is a celebration that blends culture, cuisine and a touch of good fortune.
